Primary functions of an Outrigger Pad:

1. Pressure Distribution (Load Spreading)

   • Similar to walking across a muddy construction site or a waterlogged field, you will very likely sink in and perhaps lose a shoe. But, if you lay a wide wooden plank down and walk on that, you stay on top. The outrigger pad is similar to the plank, spreading the weight so the ground doesn't give way.

2. Enhance Stability and Safety

   • By preventing the ground from sinking, outrigger pads ensures heavy vehicles or machinery remains level and stable, thus preventing catastrophic accidents.

3. Prevent Ground Damage

   • Outrigger pads prevent outrigger feet from puncturing, cracking, or depressing asphalt, concrete sidewalks, roads, parking lots, delicate surfaces, expensive instrastructive, grass fields, landscaped areas, and protect the ground from the intense concentrated force of heavy vehicles and machinery.
