Which grit do I need?

The "Fine" Range: Grit 120 & 80

These anti-slip tapes are designed for environments where the floor needs to be safe but shouldn’t feel like a construction site.

• 120 Grit: 

  • Ideal for "gentle" protection; fine and subtle grit that's easy on the skin if someone trips.

  • Is frequently used on indoor stairs, handrails, smooth tiled lobbies where aesthetics matter.

• 80 Grit: 

  • This is the standard for most indoor commercial applications in Singapore. 

  • It provides a solid grip for formal shoes and sneakers.

The "Heavy" Range: Grit 60 & 46

These anti-slip tapes are designed for outdoor surfaces where robust slip and fall prevention is required.

•  60 Grit: 

  • Our most popular choice for outdoor stairways and ramps. 

  • The peaks are high enough to break through water tension, preventing "aquaplaning" when someone is running in the rain.

• 46 Grit: 

  • This is a "Heavy Duty" profile which is incredibly aggressive. 

  • We recommend this for industrial zones where there might be oil or mud (like workshops or shipping yards) because the deep "valleys" in the grit allow contaminants to settle without making the surface slippery.

The Rubberized Specialist (Non-Abrasive)

Abrasive tapes (sandpaper texture) could shred bare skin and ruin socks; rubberized anti-slip tapes provide slips and falls prevention yet friendly to bare skin and socks.

• Barefoot Safety: For HDB toilet renovations or condo swimming pool steps, Rubberized is the only way to go.

• Hygiene: Because it has no "pores" like mineral grit, it doesn't trap bacteria or algae as easily, making it the best choice for wet, hygienic environments.
